What happens when the 3-day trial ends?

New transcriptions — and Pro features like AI summaries — then require WhisperScribe Pro. Your library stays intact: viewing, editing and exporting existing transcripts keep working without limits. There are no hidden quotas or time caps.

Subscription or lifetime — which should I pick?

Both unlock the same features. The subscription keeps the entry price low and is fully flexible — cancel anytime in your App Store settings. Lifetime is a one-time purchase: pay once, use forever.

I bought WhisperScribe before version 1.3. Do I pay again?

Is my audio really private?

Yes. Transcription runs entirely on your Mac — recordings are never uploaded. WhisperScribe collects no personal data, no usage statistics, and contains no trackers. After the one-time model download it works fully offline.

Which file formats are supported?

Input: MP3, M4A, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, OGG, OPUS, MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI and WEBM — audio is extracted from video automatically. Export: PDF, Word (DOCX), Markdown, TXT and SRT subtitles.

What are the system requirements?

macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) or later; Apple Silicon recommended. The app itself is under 2 MB — Whisper models (75 MB to 2.9 GB) are downloaded on demand.
